family campout

every year our church has a family campout at san antonio lake. it lasts from friday to sunday. we usually go to all three days, but this year dad had to preach at church, so we spent our saturday there.

we left at about 8:30 in the morning and it took about an hour to get there, maybe a little longer. once we got to the group campsite, we pretty much immediately left for the lake. once there we slathered on sunscreen and dove into the cool water. eden and i played in the mud and then i went on a boat with a few of my friends. i like to go tubing. really fast. really really fast. we swam some more and then i went on another boat. this time i went tubing again, but the tube was deformed. there was a bloated bump in the middle so when you went out of the wake you sort of rolled off into the water. that happened to me twice. then i figured out that if you purposefully roll the other way, you stay balanced. aren't i smart? so that was interesting. when we got back to the beach i took some photos. some of them are pretty ... well ... epic, awesome and artsy, if i do say so myself. i. love. photography.
